Positive Effects of Violence

Violence is always presented as negative behavior with intention to hurt someone, without positive effects. But is aggressive behavior always negative, or does positive effects of violence exist? Observed in context of different real life situations, aggressive behavior happens very often and, in my opinion, it's often justified.
