Recognising something to be right or wrong because you can see it is right or wrong is something independent of intellectual agreement or disagreement with an idea. For example, you may believe that it is wrong to have sex outside of marriage, but until you truly understand the reasons why this is important it is only an intellectual idea with no understanding behind it. And when you try to tell others about it they will sense the shallowness and lack of authority in your "preaching".
